| For those of you who may not know, JJ sponsors a Lost fan board, wherein he and other VIPs (writers, producers, actors) post with the fans. Special thanks to Karri at The Fuselage |

| JJ Abrams says: (Thu Oct 21 05:17:28 2004) The monster is DEFINITELY Fury. But he's also a genius. As is Damon, times God-knows-what. As is Artie and Karri, for running this board. Thank you to them. And to you -- whoever and wherever you are -- for watching the show, for reading and participating in the board. With sincere gratitude... JJ JJ Abrams says: (Sun Oct 31 23:33:05 2004) Happy Halloween! Thanks again for posting -- but, mostly, for WATCHING. Best, JJ JJ Abrams says: (Thu Nov 4 04:27:04 2004) The greatest thing about working on Lost? Is watching Damon walk around the office all day, drinking martinis with cocktail minions in the glass. Glad you guys dug the episode. How sickgood was Dom?! JJ JJ Abrams says: (Thu Nov 4 04:38:36 2004) I love The Fuselage. It's the only place Damon and I actually get to TALK. JJ Abrams says: (Thu Nov 4 04:40:56 2004) My What: who's to say we're not doing a show about time travel right now? JJ Abrams says: (Mon Dec 13 23:16:00 2004) YO! So we're sitting here breaking the story for the first Hurley episode and we just wanted to say thank you to everyone... the response to the Golden Globe nomination has been overwhelming and kind. Your support means so much. And please, PLEASE, don't talk to Javi when he's online. He spends more time on The Fuselage than he does in the Writers Room. YOU GUYS ROCK. JJ JJ Abrams says: (Mon Dec 13 23:23:51 2004) Doing great, Tari, thanks... will be even better when we've finished outlining this episode... JJ Abrams says: (Mon Dec 13 23:25:54 2004) Betsy -- Thanks -- and rest assured, THE MONSTER WILL RETURN. JJ PS: Then again, there are no such things as monsters. JJ Abrams says: (Mon Dec 13 23:30:46 2004) Unfortunately, I gotta split. But THANK YOU AGAIN for your support! Be back soon... JJ JJ Abrams says: (Thu Dec 16 09:23:54 2004) I would visit bryanburk.com at least 100 times a day. JJ Abrams says: (Thu Dec 16 09:27:25 2004) All good here. Locking Alias episodes, about to black out. Have a good night, Ceirdwyn -- or morning, depending on where you are... JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:15:32 2005) Just wanted to send everyone out there a giant-like HAPPY NEW YEAR greeting. Okay, I'm a day late for most of you. BUT I'M IN HAWAII. So it's still the glorious first day of 2005 for me. Hope it's an exciting, healthy and happy year for all of you. Thanks again for everything. Best, JJ JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:24:35 2005) If the board crashed, it was DEFINITELY Dom. Partyman: thanks for the Alias shout out. Hope you dig the premiere. Sadasi: is THAT what you really think of me? JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:29:38 2005) Weird about that Whedon thing. I guess he never got the note. And do you know how long it took me, cutting out all those letters from newspaper advertisements? Oh well. Guess I'll just have to KEEP THOSE WRITERS. And Drew rarely listens anyway. One less ear shouldn't mean much. PS: Truth? They're all obviously insane-brilliant and I'm beyond luck to get to work with them. JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:31:04 2005) YO Goonies. JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:33:22 2005) Zim: so far so good, thanks. Ashley: hope you like Alias. There's some WILD stuff in the first couple hours. And Jeff Bell did an amazing job writing and directing an episode called ICE that will be the third episode to air. JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:39:23 2005) Zim: Short answer? You'll TOTALLY be able to just jump in. Trust me. Longer answer? Okay, here's the Alias deal: the show's INSANE. To understand it DEEPLY AND TRULY requires mad thought and also cracking your brain open. But much of the complication is a result of the wild twists of its backstory. And if you're grooving on Lost, my guess is that you'll be able to pick up all necessary Alias history in a snap. But to FEEL the backstory? You'll wanna borrow the dvds from a buddy and give 'em a watch. And you should -- we had some incredible actors/writers/directors do some CRAZY GOOD work on the first few seasons. And the unsung heros? Michael (The Incredibles) Giacchino, whose score is sublime, always. And Kevin Blank, who turns blue and green into countries and caverns and skyscrapers (he's our visual effects supervisor). So there. JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:45:44 2005) Kaidy: Highlight? Just hanging with the family. NOT WORKING has been pretty awesome, I must say. Partyman: I wasn't AT ALL offended by the comment! Sadasi: Alias is about a young woman who is a spy. Truly? THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. Does it help to know that her father's a spy? Her lover? That her mother was KGB? Sure. Do you need that? No. The problem was, in the beginning, she worked for an agency that was POSING as the CIA. So who was good, who was bad, was TRULY difficult to follow if you weren't IN THE CLUB, as it were. There will always be complicated stories in a spy show. But is what's important hard to follow? NO. JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:48:07 2005) FoxyGirl: Mission is the most (professional) fun I've EVER HAD. After working on Alias for four years, where EVERY COUNTRY MUST BE SHOT IN BURBANK, the idea of being able to actually DO some of the stuff that TV just in NO WAY affords you the chance to do, is joyous. And I must add that working with Tom Cruise is a blast. JJ Abrams says: (Sun Jan 2 08:50:57 2005) Guys? I'm gonna run. But it was fun hanging out. Again: HAPPY NEW YEAR. Hope you like what you see next week. Best, JJ JJ Abrams says: (Mon Jan 10 06:41:12 2005) Interesting, Terry. Too tired to have dinner with me, but WIDE AWAKE for The Fuselage. FASCINATING. Hmm... JJ Abrams says: (Mon Jan 10 06:49:08 2005) Hey, everyone! Thanks for the kind Alias words. But 2 hours is just TOO LONG, at least I think it is. Jen is driving fast on the road to recovery, thanks for asking! And People's Choice is just that, so how can ya argue?! JJ Abrams says: (Mon Jan 10 07:12:03 2005) Faith: HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Night all! And thanks again... JJ |
